Ventilation cleaning

Long-term maintenance agreements for ventilation cleaning.

KTV Group is the only provider offering long-term maintenance agreements for ventilation cleaning with durations ranging from ten to twenty years. These agreements ensure clean ventilation ducts through regular inspections every third year and cleaning when required. With a maintenance agreement, all work is carried out at a fixed annual cost, with no risk for the customer.

Many people are unaware of heat loss, cooling issues or poor air quality caused by contamination in ventilation systems. This is often because only the external ducts are visible, while the internal condition of the system remains unseen.

All ventilation systems require regular cleaning. This is essential to ensure safe indoor air quality, reduced heat loss and efficient cooling. All cleaning is documented in our quality system, including video recordings of the ducts after the work has been completed. The documentation is made available to the customer via a dedicated web link.

We offer these agreements globally for rigs, vessels, onshore facilities and buildings.

Fresh air and safe working environments

Cleaning of ventilation systems is key to good indoor air quality. All systems should be cleaned every six years to prevent the build-up of microorganisms such as fungi, mould and bacteria.

Most people are surprised when they see the actual condition of ventilation ducts after six years of operation. If a system has not been cleaned for ten to fifteen years, this can have a direct impact on the indoor environment. In many cases, poor ventilation may also contribute to high levels of sick leave. Other indicators may include elevated radon levels or the presence of fungal spores in the air.

KTV Group uses a method that delivers completely clean ducts. As our equipment supplier states:

“Most manufacturers of ventilation equipment produce machines that give customers peace of mind. We have developed equipment that provides peace of mind and 100 percent clean ducts.”

Quality at every stage

KTV Group works systematically to ensure quality for our customers. We use modern and efficient systems that document every metre of the duct system. We also offer maintenance agreements where ducts are inspected every third year and cleaned when necessary. All documentation is delivered in the form of video and images.

Unique documentation.

(Excerpt from Byggforsk)

Studies have shown that contaminated ventilation systems can pose a hygienic risk [821] and lead to reduced air quality [822, 823] as well as insufficient air volumes [824].

Accumulation of dirt on components such as fans, heating and cooling coils, and heat recovery units can result in reduced energy efficiency.

Contaminated ducts may increase the risk of fire and fire spread. It has been documented that cleaning ducts and air handling unit components can improve perceived indoor climate quality and reduce the occurrence of health symptoms associated with poor indoor environments [825].

Ventilation systems can have an internal surface area corresponding to nearly 10 percent of the floor area of a building, making them a large, hidden and often overlooked surface. The system must supply sufficient amounts of clean air to occupied spaces and remove contaminated air.

Ducts and components in ventilation systems will become contaminated during operation and therefore require inspection, cleaning and maintenance.

KTV Group, a sustainable partner

Sustainability

Our technology and methods are developed to optimise and secure the areas we work in and, not least, to create a safer working environment for our employees. In most cases, this also reduces the total time required to complete assignments.

We have developed the KTV PowerCleaner, a fully electric, battery-powered high-pressure washer. The system is unique in its class and features a pure water solution that reduces the need for chemicals and lowers environmental impact.

Sustainable cleaning methods.

Our cleaning methods are developed with a clear focus on sustainability and surface protection.

The products we use are designed to preserve surfaces over time and prevent damage, while keeping them clean throughout the maintenance period. Buildings and public infrastructure typically have long service lives, making the choice of maintenance method a critical factor for sustainability.

Digital compliance and documentation.

The Bluetag CRM system is fully compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

All assignments and projects are documented using checklists, risk assessments, reports and photos. This documentation is available to customers online from day one, ensuring full transparency, traceability and quality control throughout the entire project.
