KTV Group Nordland AS has recently carried out an extensive facade cleaning of the Equinor building in Harstad, marking a milestone as our very first assignment on an Equinor property in Norway. The project was conducted as part of our framework agreement with ISS Facility Services and serves as an important reference project for us.
Project Summary:
- Client: ISS Facility Services / Equinor
- Location: Equinor building, Harstad
- Service: Complete facade cleaning. Initially using KTV Selfcleaner, followed by the pure water method on the windows.
- Method: Gentle high-pressure washing combined with specially adapted chemical treatment to remove dirt and pollution without damaging the surface.
- Purpose: Cleaning and maintenance to preserve the building’s appearance and longevity, as well as preparation for further maintenance work.
This project demonstrates how we combine safe methodology with effective results, especially on demanding and exposed buildings. By using drone technology, we significantly reduced the time required while eliminating the risk of personal injury and material damage.
In addition to the cleaning work, there is ongoing dialogue regarding a potential inspection of the facade’s condition using a thermodrone, which would serve as a basis for future maintenance planning and to assess the current condition.
