This week, KTV Group has started cleaning the IKEA building in Bergen using technology from KTV Working Drone.

Around 70% of the façades are being cleaned using autonomous flight with KTV Working Drone technology.

What makes this possible is KTV Working Drone’s own hardware, sensor technology and software, developed specifically for cleaning and surface treatment with drones.

The pilot is present at all times for safety and monitoring. If the pilot moves the control sticks, the pilot immediately takes control and the autonomous flight is interrupted.

This provides a very good combination of automation, control and safety.

Autonomous flight makes the pilot’s work easier, reduces the risk of quality deviations and helps ensure that cleaning is carried out more consistently and with greater control across large façade areas.

KTV Working Drone is currently at the forefront of this type of technology in the industry, and the solution is now in use in 67 countries.

The project at the IKEA building in Bergen is a good example of how this technology is already being used in practical and commercial cleaning operations.
